Back to Wellington

It's been a couple of days so let me catch everyone up. On Thursday I drove from Lake Kaniere (yes I went back that morning) back to Picton, and did in fact make the Interislander Ferry. By an hour! Go me - I did a 4 hour drive in only 7 hours. Given the way my earlier drives have gone, that's impressive! I'll add some photos at the end, but since I got back to Wellington it's been a bit of down time (if you can say living with two tween boys is down time). But tomorrow we go to assist with breaking a Guinness world record for most sand castles built in one hour. It's currently over 600 (643?) and the whole thing is sponsored by Weta Digital. I think it'll be pretty cool and of course I'll take pictures.

There's also a horse show in Wellington this weekend. If I can find out where exactly I may try to go for a bit & see what it's like over here... Hey, you can take a girl away from her horses, but not for long!

Oh, and might I add that sand flies are from the devil. Give me Mosquitos any day!

Ok, photos are from the ferry ride (the cowboys were from New Mexico and had been invited to do the international rodeos in Dunedin and Hamilton. Very nice guys.) There's also a few pics from the lazy days. The silly boy is Dylan, very proud of his homemade beeswax candle that actually burned. The cat is Sugar. And the shoes are mine, still trying to recover from the dolphin trip. They may not make it...
